HOPE
Greetings! I never have felt the urge to proclaim my thoughts and life via web but I guess I have gotten to that point. I have been thinking a lot lately about the power of hope. It's a really fascinating concept that I don't think people truly value until it's lost. We all strive after it though. Think of how many millions of dollars people spend on the lottery or at casinos every year. Millions and millions of dollars are thrown away in the name of hope. Hope for money to get a car. Hope for money to pay the bills. Hope for money to buy a home. Hope for money to travel. All of these things are financially based that winning the lottery would provide, however, people do not spend their money on the lottery as a way to become rich. If that were the case they could invest it and play the "Get Rich" game that way. Instead people spend their money on hope. Hope that the numbers line up. Hope that this is the lucky ticket.
Maybe it is because we like to feel. We like to know we are alive.
There are powerful things in this universe beyond our understanding. I believe that the power of hope is one of them.
